Discover the vibrant city of Malaga, known as the ‘City of the Sun,’ starting from the bustling Malaga Costa del Sol Airport. Situated on the southern Mediterranean Coast, Malaga enjoys a perpetual summer, nestled between the provinces of Granada and Cadiz. Its rich history dates back to the Phoenician era when it was called Malaka, later witnessing Roman and Arab invasions.

Explore Malaga’s historical treasures, such as the ancient Roman Theatre, nestled at the foothills of Mount Gibralfaro, and the majestic 11th-century Arab Citadel, the Alcazaba, along with the renowned Picasso Museum. After immersing in the city’s charm, we’ll journey to Antequera for an overnight stay.

Embark on a captivating journey through Antequera, starting with a panoramic city tour before venturing to the breathtaking El Torcal de Antequera, a natural mountain formation rising over 1200 meters above sea level. Prepare to explore the legendary Red Route of Torcal de Antequera, a mesmerizing path adorned with enigmatic karst landscapes and awe-inspiring vistas from the summit of Camorro de los Monteses.

Following our exhilarating adventure, we’ll continue our expedition to the enchanting Andalusian city of Ronda, where romance and history intertwine, for a delightful overnight stay.

Today marks the beginning of our exploration of Ronda, a city steeped in romance, history, and captivating stories. Marvel at the breathtaking Ronda Gorge and its iconic new bridge, towering an impressive one hundred meters above. Wander through the charming streets, where the footsteps of renowned figures like the German poet Rilke and the American writer Ernest Hemingway echo. Discover the inspiration behind Hemingway’s masterpiece ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls.’

Our journey continues to the picturesque Town Hall Square, where the magnificent Santa Maria la Mayor Church stands as a testament to Ronda’s rich heritage. Following this, we’ll take a brief respite before embarking on a hiking adventure through the stunning ‘Tajo del Abanico’ route, leading from Ronda to Benaojan. Traverse the Colada del Camino de Ronda a Cortes, immersing ourselves in the geological wonders of Tajo del Abanico, characterized by its sandstone and limestone formations, known as ‘Molasa,’ mirroring the grandeur of Ronda’s cliffs.

En route to our next destination, the vibrant capital of Andalusia, Seville, we’ll revel in the lush flora of oak trees and bushes that adorn our path.

Following a delightful breakfast, our journey commences along the charming Avenue of the Palms, where we’ll encounter the ‘casas’ representing various countries of the American continent, culminating in the splendid Plaza of America and the iconic Plaza de España.

Continuing our exploration, we’ll meander through the historic Santa Cruz district, immersing ourselves in the allure of Seville’s traditional architecture and labyrinthine streets, steeped in the memories of the inquisitorial period.

As we reach the esteemed Plaza de Triunfo (Victory Square), we’ll be greeted by Seville’s most illustrious monuments, including the majestic Cathedral of Seville, the iconic Bell Tower known as La Giralda, the regal Alcazar Palace, and the esteemed Indian Archives building.

Following this enriching tour, you’ll have ample free time to further discover the treasures of Seville at your leisure. Rest and recharge for the night in this enchanting city.

Following a hearty breakfast, we embark on an extraordinary hiking adventure through the ancient mines of Rio Tinto in Huelva. This remarkable route transports us to what seems like a Martian landscape right here on Earth. Witness the captivating scenery and the unique minerals that give the river its distinctive reddish hue.

Formerly integral to the region’s economy, these mines were once the lifeblood of local communities, established by British companies in the 19th century. As we conclude our exploration, we transition to the Sierra Norte de Seville, where the landscape undergoes a dramatic transformation. Here, lush oak and rubber trees dot the countryside, alongside renowned Iberian pork farms.

Immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind experience with a visit to a traditional farm, where you’ll witness the meticulous process of crafting the world-famous Iberian ham. After this unforgettable journey, we return to Seville for a restful overnight stay.

Embarking on our journey in Cordoba, we’ll stroll through the enchanting streets of the old district, adorned with ancient Andalusian houses, vibrant flowers, and tranquil fountains. Cordoba, once the capital of Muslims for half a millennium during the Medieval Period, flourished as a hub of scholars, culture, and the Andalusian caliphate. Esteemed figures like Ibn Rushd (Averroes) and Maimonides graced this remarkable medieval capital, leaving an indelible mark on its streets.

Our exploration includes marveling at the iconic 2000-year-old Roman Bridge, a testament to Cordoba’s rich history, complemented by the imposing Tower of Calahorra added by Muslim architects. We’ll also visit the awe-inspiring Mezquita-Cathedral of Cordoba, a symbol of the city’s cultural fusion.

Continuing our journey northward through Andalusia, we arrive at Ubeda, a UNESCO World Heritage city renowned for its Renaissance splendor. Here, we’ll delve into the city’s fascinating history, witnessing the seamless blend of Muslim and Christian influences, evident in landmarks such as the Jewish neighborhood, Plaza de Vazquez Molina, Palacio de las Cadenas, Sacred Chapel of Salvador, Synagogue of Water, and Church of San Pablo.

As our excursion draws to a close, we’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the expansive olive tree groves nestled at the foothills of Sierra Magina before retiring for the night in Cazorla.

Today, we embark on an exhilarating journey to explore the hidden treasures of Sierra de Cazorla, immersing ourselves in its breathtaking landscapes and encountering the diverse wildlife inhabiting the area during our thrilling 4×4 excursion. Covering a distance of 90 km, our route takes us through awe-inspiring locations such as Cerrada de Utrero, Nava del Espino, Nava San Pedro, Ramblaseca, Campos de Hernan Perea, Banderillas, and Los Charcones.

After our unforgettable adventure, we’ll continue our travels to Granada, where we’ll unwind and recharge for the night.

Today, following a leisurely breakfast, we’ll dedicate our day to exploring the hidden treasures of Granada, a city steeped in history and charm. Our journey begins with a visit to the crown jewel of Al-Andalus, the majestic Alhambra Palace, where we’ll be enchanted by its intricate architecture, captivating play of light and shadow, lush gardens, and captivating stories.

Next, we’ll venture into the heart of the city, where we’ll traverse the historic Albaicin neighborhood, the ancient Muslim quarter, and marvel at the imposing Granada Cathedral, the picturesque Paseo de los Tristes, the historic Corral del Carbon, the majestic Palacio de la Madraza, and the bustling Gran Via.

Following some free time to explore the city at your own pace, we’ll return to our hotel in Granada, filled with memories of a day well spent uncovering the treasures of this enchanting city.

Today, we’re presented with two enticing options to make the most of our day before heading to Malaga for the night:

Option 1: Embark on an exhilarating journey to conquer the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula, the towering Mulhacen, standing at 3479 meters. Our route takes us through the picturesque towns of Alpujarra, Lanjaron, Pampaneiera, and Bubion before reaching Capileira. From there, we’ll commence our ascent from 2250 meters, passing by the stunning Seven Lagoons, with breathtaking views of the Veleta peak, Alcabazaba, and the sprawling Sierra Nevada. If fortune smiles upon us, we may even catch a glimpse of the Mediterranean and the African coast.

Option 2: Alternatively, immerse yourself in the thrill of canyoning in one of the lesser-known yet immensely captivating areas along the tropical coast of Granada. Venturing into the scenic Sierra de Almijara, we’ll navigate the exhilarating waters of Rio Verde, offering opportunities for exhilarating slides, jumps, and rappelling. As we conclude our adventure, we’ll traverse through lush fields of tropical fruits, eventually reaching the serene shores of the Mediterranean coast to bask in the afternoon sun.

On our departure day, we’ll have some leisure time to explore the city at our own pace, following a delightful breakfast at our hotel. Depending on the timing of our flight, we’ll savor the opportunity to soak in the sights and sounds of the city before bidding farewell. Finally, we’ll make our way to the airport, cherishing the memories created during our unforgettable journey.
